Designed for simplicity and impact, this event introduces your community to thoughtful upcycling with Dash Dyeing, a method of applying pigment to renew what already exists. Hosting a pop-up is accessible, meaningful, and leaves a lasting impression on your customers.
What's Included?
Our pop-ups offer a hands-on, immersive experience where participants use intuitive color choices to upcycle their clothing into something unique. Inspired by Chromatic Kintsugi, this process embraces imperfections and transforms garments with vibrant dyes and personal intention. Unlike traditional tie-dye, dash dyeing uses powdered pigments dashed directly onto the fabric, creating stunning, one-of-a-kind results. Participants leave with a custom-dyed item they make for just $10 per piece dyed. This is not just an event—it’s an opportunity to reflect, create, and celebrate mindful consumption.
What We Provide
Here’s what we bring:
150 dye colors for limitless creativity.
A fixative for dye setting (baking soda ash mixed with water).
Gloves, aprons, masks, and other protective gear.
Water absorbers, plastic bags, and a table ready for dye.
A cart with wheels to ensure easy accessibility for setup.
All the tools necessary to guide participants through the Dash & Bag System are included.
FAQs for Hosting
We’ll need a 8×8-foot area (or larger) for the dyeing station. A barrier free entrance is also ideal for our cart.
We encourage participants to bring natural fiber items (cotton, rayon, linen) to dye. This supports thoughtful upcycling and creates the most vibrant results.
We’ll have cotton t-shirts available for purchase for $10 each.
Depending on your store’s needs, events can last 2, 4, or 6 hours.
We handle all the setup and supplies needed to make your event seamless. We take care of cleanup, leaving your space as it was.
