Creston Pride Reflections

So much of what we communicate is nonverbal, and clothing can be the quietest yet boldest way to say, "This is who I am." Watching someone’s face light up when a friend looks them up and down, appreciating their style, is powerful.

I enjoyed watching people put on color. They changed how they carried themselves. A particular transformation happens when someone finds a piece that resonates. I saw parents encouraging children, friends lifting each other with a smile and a nod, and people walking just a bit taller as if wearing their colors permitted them to express who they were.

So much of what we communicate is nonverbal, and clothing can be the quietest yet boldest way to say, “This is who I am.” Watching someone’s face light up when a friend looks them up and down, appreciating their style, is powerful. You can practically see those feel-good chemicals released, and it’s like a little celebration of pride—both in who they are and how they look. This is why I do what I do at More Joy.

Each More Joy piece is crafted to help you hold your chin high, radiate confidence, and embrace your true self. It’s about allowing people to find that inner spark and proudly wear it for the world to see. I saw it firsthand at Creston Pride and want to bring that experience to everyone who visits my studio.
